Well since the con season is slowly winding down to a close I am wondering what everyone else plan will be for next year..Hopefully we could get a huge gathering of kigs In one area...So what is everyones idea on where the next kig meet up should be

A-kon 2011 (Dallas)
San Japan (San Antonio)
Naka Kon (Kansas City)
Otakon (Baltimore)
Natsucon ( St. Louis)

Thats my 5 ideas on a kig meet up anyone else have any ideas?

Why not get yourself a passport and come to Canada? There's two Kig friendly conventions close enough to the East coast to be worth considering.

Anime North ( Toronto Canada ) Already has an established Kig presence and is starting to attract US performers.

Otakuthon ( Montreal Canada ) A smaller event, but one which Kig performers have enjoyed in the past. Still to be held this year, but probably too soon for those who need to get passports.

Both are major hub cities for international airlines, and within easy driving distance of the US border.

Anime Expo is also a good convention I think. It's very large and in LA. Otherwise Otakon is always a solid choice, yeah.

Johnathan and I will definitely be at Oktauthon this year.  But as far as a con that's best for everyone, we need to figure out if we want something large and noisy, or small and more quiet?  I'd vote for Anime North or Otakon.

My budget for con flights is tight enough as it is right now, adding yet another plane ticket to the mix (as opposed to driving to Akon) will make things a little trickier for me this coming year.

Want to save money? At this years Anime North, I never bought a con badge. Unless there's a panel you need to see or you want to go to the dealer's room (and if you do, you could just buy a day pass), you can get away with just hanging around outside for 3 days. I'm not sure what would happen if it rained though...

Otakuthon is a nice con, I'm glad I can go this year. They've got a really nice hotel and a great place to hold the con. It's right next to Montreal's Chinatown so there's plenty to see and do there.

I'd say AN but there's no way i could go within the next year, it'd probably have to be 2012 or later, by that time i'll be in college, and colleges usually let out by the begining of may. So i'd be free to go hopefully by then, plus it seems to be a great con! ^^ nyuuuu!

not to say AN is a bad idea but you need to think about how much the cost will be for people who live down south...Like rabbit said something small and easy would be good  for next year...I don't want to cause trouble but naka kon might be a  good place for next year.. there is a international airport in kansas city.. It happens in February 18-21, 2010..so it will be real nice a cool for suiters to kig...only problem is the weather that we get during that time.. hopefully we won't get as bad of a storm than last year.
